Govt of Punjab Jobs 2023 at Punjab Human Capital Investment Project

The Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP) has a primary objective, which is to enhance the utilization of high-quality health services, as well as economic and social inclusion programs, specifically targeting disadvantaged and vulnerable households in select districts within Punjab. PHCIP is committed to supporting critical investments in health, education, and social protection to promote the accumulation of human capital in the Punjab region. The project is sponsored jointly by the Government of Punjab in partnership with the World Bank – International Development Agency, along with counterpart funding in-kind. The project was officially signed and came into effect on May 18, 2020, with the loan agreement set to conclude on June 30, 2025. The total approved project budget stands at US$ 330 million, with the World Bank providing US$ 200 million, and US$ 130 million coming from counterpart funding.

The Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP) is active across 11 districts in Punjab, including Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur, Rajanpur, DG Khan, Rahimyar Khan, Bahkkar, Mianwali, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, Layyah, and Khushab. Key partners responsible for project implementation include the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA), the Primary and Secondary Health Department (PSHD), and the Punjab School Education Department (SED). The project’s gestation period covers the years from 2021 to 2025, with the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) taking the lead in managing PHCIP.
