The Punjab Public Service Commission is a government organization entrusted with the recruitment and management of provincial civil and administrative services in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. Established in April 1937, the Punjab Public Service Commission is recognized as Pakistan’s most ancient Provincial Public Service Commission. Its formation was authorized by the Punjab Public Service Commission Ordinance of 1978.

The Communication and Works Department, an integral part of the Government of Punjab in Pakistan, holds a key mandate in overseeing the planning, execution, development, and maintenance of the extensive road and bridge infrastructure within the Punjab province. Collaborating closely with the Communication and Works Department, the Punjab Highways Department assumes responsibility for the construction and ongoing upkeep of the entire provincial road network, which spans over 38,000 kilometers.
